Cranberry-Kelp Smoothie

Vegan, vegetarian, and paleo friendly. Makes 24 oz.

Cranberries provide a zing to this nutritionally powerful smoothie. This is a great way to use the abundance of winter fruits. Kelp is a cold-weather crop and complements the cranberry-orange flavor base of this healthy smoothie recipe.

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 Ocean Approved kelp cube (or 2 TB kelp)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 Medjool dates (or 1 1/2 tsp honey)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt
  • chia seeds for topping, optional

Add all ingredients to a blender; puree until smooth.
