Who doesn't like macaroni and cheese? This triple cheese treat will impress kids and adults alike. Best of all, the kelp adds incredible nutritional value to this desirable dish.
- 1 box macaroni
- 1 Tb butter
- 1 onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- 16 oz mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz goat cheese
- 8 oz cheddar cheese
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup Ocean Approved slaw cut kelp
- hot pepper flakes
- ½ cup Panko or breadcrumbs
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Bring a pot of water to boil. While waiting, finely slice the onions and garlic and sauté with butter in another pan. When the water comes to a boil, add the macaroni noodles. Grate the cheddar and mozzarella.
When the macaroni is al dente, drain the pasta water and immediately crack 2 eggs into the hot noodles, stirring to incorporate. Add the kelp, garlic, and onions. Crumble the goat cheese into the mixture, and add the cheddar and mozzarella.
Mix well and add to a medium casserole dish. Sprinkle any remaining cheese on top along with panko and hot pepper flakes. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
